Bounty factor

Hi everyone yesterday i was running in a 10 $ PKO mtt we were 13 left so near the FT and the CO raise x2 with 50BB he had 55 $ bounty and the BTN shove for 9BB and he had 150 $ bounty we are in a sb and we decide ti reshove for 65 BB with 10s9s the CO call and he had AK and thr BTN QQ , we lost the hand and after a while i've been knockout.
do you think was it good to shove and win the bounty or do we have to fold because we were near the FT??

To do the actual math its nessesary to know the starting stack of the tournament and the stack sizes in chips rather than big blinds, because this is, how we convert the bounty into chips to determine our true pot odds. But assuming a somewhat normal situation I cant imagine, that this is anywhere near a good jam. You are risking far to many chips against CO to win a bounty, which is probably not worth it, and you are using a hand, which is almost certainly behind BTNs jamming range. So even when CO fold, you win this pot less than half the time, and when CO gives action, its a disaster.

When we are trying to win bounties we still want to use a range that dominates most of the BTN range a range expecting to be called by CO---so AXs KXs QXs the high card hands are our choice for chasing bounties---add in the fact that we are not closing the action and this is an easy fold---Then we have the FT bubble this is when the payouts become important-depending on the structure-as important as the bounties-We also have 65bb which implies we want to stack protect so that we can have fold equity on the FT versus the other stacks- When discussing bounty tournaments adding in that you were 5-13 or 9-13 makes a difference in what our range choices are. Stack protection is very important in bounty tournaments

I think, CO will call you a bit wider, than you assume, because he will understand, that you are often just trying to isolate BTN to win his bounty. And the problem is, CO has 5 times as many chips as BTN, and when he call, its a disaster for you. So even if he only call 10-20% of the time, this will reduce your overall EV significantly and thus increase the equity, you need against BTN. And do you even have significantly more than 30% against BTN in the first place? I am not so sure, because BTN has no fold equity, so he should actually be jamming a pretty strong range. Not always as strong as QQ, but jamming hands like 55, KJs or A3s, which would be fine with fold equity, would be a punt by BTN.
