I'm BamaDoug.  I'm new to poker but I'm serious about learning to play very well.  I want to know what i'm up against also.  I want to know what software is the very best on the market right now.  I don't care quite as much about subscriptions for tracking people.   definately not any cheat software.. but something I can use online and offline.  I need a calculator that takes into account pot odds.  That's the only reason i really need one at all.  I did like the pokerspy download free for 200 hands.  not permanent info but easy and simple for a new person to understand.  
 
what's the best.  how do i beat the learning curve.  i have tons of time.  I play about 5 hours if not 10 everyday
 
i started 30 days ago and now i want to go to real money in 30 more days.  
 
right now i'm practicing accumulating play money at a couple sites.  
 
I have an incredible amount of patience.  I can sit down at any table most of the time and make money 3 or 4 times what i start with.  
 
man, this newbie needs some friends.. i prefer to chat live since it's the age of convienence but please contact me.
