Wow! What a joke! Thanks for the response. This fixed the issue - but I was afraid of doing this in case I got kicked out of the game completely. In the meantime I lost 22k in chips and multiple opportunities to stack up by a total 100s of thousands. This is really bad for playing tournaments. Never happened on any other rooms. And usually if I have 888 open but have been inactive, I'm prompted to click to say that I'm still here.
It does happen from time to time on other rooms as well. Maybe not exactly this way, but some random technical fault, which prevent you from playing one or more tables. I have experienced this on 888 Poker, pokerstars and ACR Poker, so basically all the rooms, where I have played in recent years. And the solution is always to close and then reopen the poker client. There is not a single room, where your active tables will not pop up again automatically, once you reopen the client. So there is no need to be scared to try this fix.
Well then you cant play anywhere, because it can also happen on all the other sites. It has just not happened to you specifically (yet). Its of course annoying, but once you know the fix, its not that big of a deal, since you typically only miss out of less than an orbit of hands, before you are back in the action. And this can also happen, if you lose your internet or have to take an emergency break to go to the toilet
When I played on 888 Poker years ago, there were far more situations like this compared to PokerStars. So I dont think, they have the best software in the business, although it could obviously be better - or worse - now, since its been updated many times since then. I still did not consider it a dealbreaker though.
