[QUOTE="IntenseHeat, post: 2176441, member: 92488"] Well that kid spends a million dollars a year on tournament entries. In addition, he is one the biggest, if not the biggest, ambassodors the game has. I wish there was a video available of the incident. Without one it's hard for me to form a strong opinion as to whether I think Negreanu was right or wrong in this situation. From the wording of the rule and the description of the event, I tend to think that Daniel was in the right. However, I think there was more to it than just this one incedent. From what I understand, Daniel Negreanu has had an issue with this rule and the fact that it was implemented without any input from the players since it's inception. With this being something that he's been vocal about in the past, I think this particular incident might have just been the straw. I'm not sure blowing 10k in euros is the way I would have responded. But you know what dead homie, they might actually feel a little bit stupid. After something like this, I'm sure you don't want people looking back at this and finding that Daniel was, in fact, within the rules and that the tournament director made the wrong ruling. Certainly, this is not the way you want to have Daniel Negreanu exit your tournament. As I said, he is one of the biggest ambassadors for the game. I don't think there is a single other player that goes out of their way to pose for picture and sign autographs for fans the way Negreanu does. This is not only good for the game but for the hotels and casinos as well, as it brings in bodies who are likely to spend money while they are there. How do you think they are going to feel when Daniel points to this ruling as the reason he no longer takes time out to pose with fans between hands because he's afraid his hand will be ruled dead if he makes it back to the table two seconds after the first card is dealt.
