Battle Royale highest bounty

In the br lobby one can see the highest bountys ever won and when i clicked on the highest i was quite astonished 😦This was a 25 Dollar game and the guy decided to shove utg on 24s, covering everyone. A shove he will not regret I guess since he won a 250k bounty with it.

So 4-way all-in and the worst hand won. Now before anyone come up with "rigged" theories about, how the software obviously is set up to reward bad play, I just want to point out, and its not a completely unreasonable play by UTG. He is 13BB effective with CO, and the other 3 guys are all significantly under 10BB. With payjumps looming and the extra reward from the bounties, he can jam pretty wide here as the chip leader from any seat. The overcall from SB with A4s is actually a more questionable play. He could win BTNs bounty but should probably still have folded and hope to see BTN bust, so he got one step closer to the money (assuming 3 places pay).

But sick for the guy with QQ who had the chance to ko 2 players... Imagine how that feels seeing the other guy raking in that 250k bounty 😅...he was probly like: "whuuuut?🥴"

Yes probably a reasonable play in a ko if you really want to go for bountys and dont care about the rest. He was covering everyone. Me personally i would have folded, lol.

What a sensation and what disappointments! ...

The A4s is a pretty terrible play after 2 all ins ahead of you, can you even argue QQ is slightly questionable as you have a chance to fold to Top 3 and min cash, probs not in a mystery bounty tourney I suppose, but if it was regular game, I think you can fold there!!

This would be a mind-blowing bad fold with QQ in that format.

Also probably a call in a regular game with only 8 big blinds and all that money already in the pot but kind of close yes.

QQ is definitely a call in this format, especially when BB cover both BTN and SB and can win their bounties. In a regular game like a 9-man SnG, where 3 places also pay, it would be a close decision. It would be a bit worrysome, that SB has overcalled, because in a regular game that should really be a very snug range like maybe TT+, AK. And there is a big ICM reward for sitting it out and watch someone else bust.

But on the other side the most common outcome would be, that either BTN or SB scoop the main pot, in which case BB will not be in the money yet. Instead it will bring BB to the bubble with the shortest stack by far, or there will still be 5 players left, but one will only have a few chips left. Both of those are situations, where BB is far from quarantied to make it into the money, so all in all QQ is probably still a call but not a slam-dunk.

but you don't play the mystery games for mincash but for the bounties.
QQ is a 100% allin in this format but I agree A4 is very questionable yet alone the 42 lol

I hate this format. I only play for free tickets.
