In my city there will be a tournament where the buy-in is high but I am inexperienced in live tournaments. What to do to not get nervous
There's just one big yearly game in my city.
I wanted to play it but I wasn't sure if play the main event or a lower buy in side game.
I may play it this year or next one, but just for the experience of play live. I think that I'd can handle not to think in the money, but I'll get nervious if I reach near the prizes for sure.

The easiest way not to avoid getting nervous is to avoid playing big LIVE MTTs (especially the ones that you're probably not bankrolled for).

Find a nice LIVE cash game instead.

get used to cash and smaller games first, use sunglasses, take your time evenly every hand (no timing tells, whether bluffing or not). Play smaller MTT's to build yourself up to larger event and be bankrolled for at least 5 buy ins so you can buy food after the tourney LOL :)
