Hello, I believe you've seen it somewhere, but not at this link in the series guide.

Perhaps an apprenticeship on “Everything about bankroll control and management” would be interesting
In the sense of: buy-in/bankroll ratio;
Which tournaments to start playing by buy-in;
Spreadsheets and graphs;

Would something like that be interesting?

Ohhh man <3 Sometimes I should not speak <3 <3 I used AI to edit so you all can understand me better. Umm, did you add that because of me? lol jk <3 I think this would be awesome though <3

💫 Lesson Suggestion: “Gut Reads & Soul Calls — The Art of Playing Without a HUD”

I’d love to suggest a lesson that dives into something that doesn’t get nearly enough love in the poker world: intuition-based calling.

That moment when you feel the bluff coming... when you just know that fold was wrong before the cards even flip. This is about trusting your gut and training your mind to see beyond the stats.

I have never used a HUD, and I’ve taken down more than a few sharks here and in the wild by playing my own way — not the way everyone else does. And honestly? That’s one of the best things you can do for your game.

When you follow your intuition, you become unreadable.
You don’t fall into easy categories.
You shift gears. You confuse patterns. You create your own rhythm.

It’s not for the faint of heart — but if you’ve got a heart and a third eye like mine <3 maybe it’s time to explore that path.

🃏 What this lesson could explore:

  • What intuition actually is — not magic, but trained fast-thinking
  • Why we ignore it (and how to stop doing that)
  • Recognizing “emotional tells” in bet sizing, timing, and rhythm
  • How to train and sharpen your gut instinct (yes, you can!)
  • Playing your way — and why breaking from the norm matters
  • The power of being unreadable and shifting gears
  • Real-life hand examples where no stats = the right call
  • adding meditation routines to strengthen your inner peace and voice
  • the ease of your mental game and being unreadable
  • when to use it and when to not <3

❤️ Why it matters:

In a sea of HUDs and GTO charts, there’s still space for players who use feel, heart, and instinct. For those who don’t want to rely on data to win — or just want to strengthen that “inner voice” — this lesson would be a unique and personal deep dive.

Let’s remind people that poker isn’t just math. It’s art.
And sometimes… you just know.

<3 Sorry if this is stupid <3 Hugs, I still put a lot of effort in it for 10 chippies :p lol

I'd love to see a topic about the difference in strategy when playing a game and its H/L version (Omaha and Stud).
I'm sure there's a lot to say about hand selection pre-flop, let alone about how the hands should be played post-flop and on the following streets.

I skimmed the articles. I haven't had time to delve into them yet, but I see you don't mention reduced-card games like pokerstars' +6, WPT's FL, and Replay's NLHoyal. A strategy/lesson based on these different games would be interesting. There are plenty of players who don't know much about them but are eager to learn.

I think people should learn more about fold equity, they just underestimate this and keep losing great opportunities of making more money.

So I think this is a great topic for CardsChat to talk about...

I think a good topic would be Heads Up strategy. I have played some online tournaments in this format and it is fun and good practice for when we get to heads up in a regular tournament.

I think something people might find helpful based on various posts I've seen would be some

more in depth strategy regarding ICM and how it can influence decisions late in the game,

also see various questions about GTO and I personally think HU is it's own game

and probably one of the most interesting forms of poker,

also bet sizing is a lost art....😎👍

I agree a lot with @billibooo
I play my game the MY way.
The best topic a lot of people need to learn is Knowing when to Hold"em and when to fold"em.

Since there is very little action Online at stakes higher than buy-ins of 100NLH (and PLO or any other game variant), at least in cash games:

" I would like for the CardsChat Poker Learning Series to cover Live Play and Live tells.

This could include strategies for adapting to live poker environments, such as managing table dynamics, reading opponents' physical tells (e.g., body language, betting patterns, or verbal cues), and adjusting to the slower pace of live games compared to online play.

A series exploring how to spot and interpret live tells, as well as practical tips for live tournament and cash game settings, would be incredibly valuable for players transitioning from online to live poker or looking to sharpen their in-person skills.

And of course, social skills like:

How to talk to the whales in a nice, respectful, and not fake way.

How to play with the opposite sex:D When flirting can be used as a weapon and fake tell, etc.

How to dress for success and not look like an online poker nerd.

When to play for days in soft games and when to walk away.

Exercises to do between hands to keep your blood circulation going both in your legs and brain.

What to eat and drink during long sessions.

Drinking alcohol and playing - pros and cons and where to draw the line."

I would probably be interested in only one topic. How to combine poker and daily work so that you can enjoy the game without losing your health :)
Perhaps some aspects of time management for such an effective combination would be interesting material.

How to play very loose aggressive at passive tables as a bigstack would be an interesting topic. How to play with a 3-bet only tactic, what the good spots are to apply pressure and when better not pull the trigger.

Perhaps demonstrating what a professional poker player's daily routine is like in practice, exploring the differences between online and live poker, such as variance, social interaction, travel costs, transportation, accommodations, tournament size, player level and format, could be useful for planning. I would also like to see the psychology aspect in more depth, such as body language itself in the ability to read opponents and adapt.

I have checked in on this series from time to time and find it quite informative.
I have been living in a live poker desert here in NC and 100% of my playing experience has been online play only.
Since the first of the year I have started traveling and playing at Caesars, the River and Pops Poker.
What I have learned is that live poker is different from online poker.
To take it further, cash games are different than MTT games.
I would like to see more on cash games and things that matter that are not prevalent in online poker.
How to prepare for the different aspects of MTT tournaments and the differences in them and online games.
Would love info on strategy, mental control, observing opponents and maybe even how to not give away info.

The MTT tournaments that I get to play usually are from $100 to $300 buy in with 50 to 60 players average.
I would love to have info on thinking in terms of your stack in big blinds in live tournaments.
When I play online it's easy-- just click and there is your info in BB.
What are activities that work to make this part of being routine at live tournaments.
I really believe that being able to think stack sizes and bets in BB in live tournaments is one thing that will take you to the next level.

Are the pros out there earning a living thinking in terms of BB when playing.
How are they keeping up with pot sizes- do they count the bets or just guess it?

I believe I can hold my ground on tournaments but have not on online cash games.

My suggestion is a lesson to be profitable on online cash games. What strategies differ on tournaments & cash games? What are practical strategies to be a better online cash game player? How to win more on online cash games?

I have seen that many players use and talk about HUDs, there are many indicators or ratios shown, as I am pretty new and dont use one of them, could there be a lesson about de indicators, their meanings and how to read them to get to the best moves

I'd like to see a detailed bio on @CRStals . He appears to be the sole author of everything in the series. I know I've seen him around Cardschat a lot but I don't know anything about him. That 'topic' should be at the very top of the CardsChat Learning Poker Thread Series Guide to encourage members to delve further.

Thanks! I'll listen to it tomorrow. I suggest it be posted with the learning series, ideally with a written summary.
