Slowroll vs. nitroll are not quite the same, a slowroll occurs when a player has the nuts on the river but takes an excessive amount of time to call a bet where their call would close the action and the showdown would come immediately after. This is considered bad etiquette because the only purpose is to insult the other player and try to put them on tilt.

A nitroll is when an overly tight or risk-averse player does not necessarily have the nuts and takes an excessive amount of time to make a decision that should be obvious. For example, having :qs4: :qh4: on a board of :kc4::2s4::2h4::jd4::qc4: and being afraid to call for 2 BB more because they're scared that the villain might have :kh4::kd4: or :2c4::2d4:.
