Even when I lose, poker affects me. It's not just a game — it's a mixture of emotions, choices and character. Do you have that too?
I come back because poker is an additional income for me. I come back because for me poker is a hobby that brings me money and I think it's the perfect way to spend my free time. I come back because the game just gives me pleasure :)

The better you get the less it will be a factor.

You will lose less often and you become more used to the variance.

Because it challenges me in a way that nothing else does. Every session feels like a puzzle. There's always something new to learn, some mistake to fix, some spot to rethink. I think what keeps bringing me back is that mix of logic, psychology, and the constant grind for improvement. Even when I get frustrated, there's this drive to understand the game better, to play one level deeper than before.

And honestly, it's just fun. Win or lose, it keeps my brain sharp and makes me want to outplay myself every time I sit down.

When I lose, of course, I'm upset, but it's only a momentary sadness, because I know that in an hour, or a day, or even a week, I can make up for it. So I continue to work on my plan with focus and ignore any difficulties.

Hey, if you want to deep into that, you have to think about your own life. I experienced, that everyone playing Poker is compensating something else in life. Its the same with people who smoke. Its not just a habbit, its mostly a sign that something else in your life goes not 100% well. And thats not in a offensive way but more in a honest way. Its the same with me. I do play poker since i am 20 and in early days i wasted alot money and played extreme emotional. Very unhealthy. BUT there is one more think. Poker is not that bad as long as it turns to some healthy hobby or if you play it professionally.

But thats the point, only 5% reach this professional level and others mostly loose. Thats why i always advice people to start with freerolls until they have minimum 150$ bankroll. If you can do that, you can beat poker in long term. And i do not know alot people playing poker "just for fun" and never investing own money. Its probably another 0.1% of all players doing so. So if someone feels triggered, keep yourself as an exception and do not get offended:)

Yes, if you always come back to poker after losses, it only shows your love to poker. That's very cool! We all love poker and yes, I consider defeats as part of my journey to poker success. That's why I play every day.

For me, poker is the best card game — first of all, because it involves a lot of bluffing and psychology, not just pure math like blackjack.
And second, you can actually make money while playing it, which makes it even more exciting.

Yes, I totally feel that. Poker tests our mental and emotional strength. Winning or losing is not just the result, but a chance to learn and improve ourselves.

You just like the game . But if you lose all the time , time and money , and you keep on playing, you might have addiction problem , maybe you need a break from poker then

It's nice to win, maybe not big money, but it satisfies me and brings me in regularly.

Maybe you lack a better understanding of poker itself, especially the mathematical part.

I come back from high level poked to freeroll play, with lots of beginners often, but don't want to have lomg pauses, so I hope it feels comfortable for you. Good luck to you as well.

Imho i think that everyone has these same emotions. Its just that some try to control them and others cannot.

I come back because I love to win. And although I don't win as often as I would like, I can still see my progress and the improvement in my game. Winning, knowing that the victory is a merit of my patience and discipline, is very motivating, to continue on my way.
