How do you deal with players who slow roll?

I recently played a handout where a player slo-rolled me with Nazi cards, and to be honest, it tipped me off more than I expected. I know technically it's allowed, but it looks disrespectful. Do you think slo-roll is justified? Should this be considered bad etiquette regardless of the context? I wonder how others deal with this emotionally and strategically.
I slowroll back

I think people who do that are looking for a reaction.... it can be hard online to tell if it's a deliberate slow roll or just some slow fool

.... fyi playing slow is not the same as a slow roll which is waiting to turn over the clear winning hand after all the action is completed,

it's not part of the game, it's also not something I'd recommend anyone do live..... but hey you do you👍

It`s one of the strongest poker weapons and I use slowrolling against agressive players and when my bad hand cart period is too long.

Getting slow rolled does feel frustrating and it has made me lose my temper also, but the only thing you really can do is to try and keep cool, try to play good poker and not make emotional decisions. That way you give yourself the best chance of beating the slow roller later on.

Slowrolling is part of the game of poker. If it were forbidden, no one would do it. I don't slowroll, but I don't mind being slowrolled. Sometimes someone slowrolls because their opponent was too bold and aggressive before the flop. This would be a way of reciprocating the initial provocation.

Do you know what slowrolling someone is?
It's not 'slowplaying' a hand
It's not 'playing a hand slowly'.

It is when YOU KNOW you have the NUTS... other player bets (or better yet... they shove allin) and you then time down, taking close to the maximum amount of time before making the call.... even though YOU KNOW you have the best hand and have them CRUSHED (ie. villain shoves the river when the 3rd heart gets there, quite possibly giving them a flush (or at least they might be representing a flush) but meanwhile that river card not only paired the board but it ended up giving you QUADS!!!! So it's now your turn to act.... and WITH QUADS you time all the way down.... then HIT the extra timer.... time it almost all the way down (giving the opponent a false hope that you're either folding OR that their hand is definitely strong enough to win the hand) and then you call! Showing the QUADS!

It's generally thought of as a VERY DISRESPECTFUL move to do in the game of poker. THere are some PROS who actually do it fairly often but 99% of the time they are doing it to a friend of their's (ie. Shaun Deeb is known for doing it). But to do it to a stranger online in a game.... it is uncalled for and very rude.

Yeah the person might have been multi-tabling and just took time to get round to the table you're on. If you lost the hand don't even worry about slow-roll or not as it means nothing, really
It means the person is a d1ck.

You're going to come across A LOT of immature people while playing poker... and while online and being basically anonymous it will tend to bring out the worst in them at times.
As some others have already said (at least the ones who even have a clue what slowrolling is), just let it roll off of you. Be prepared for players being complete jerks. Honestly when I have someone time way down on the river on me, I'm half expecting them to be slowrolling me.

At first i think you must define, what you exactly mean. At first if you play the hands very slow, with allways use the timebank its sometimes frustrating. But in important tourneys i use these tool also, near the bubble if i had a critical stack. In satelites and if i had enough stack to getting the ticket, i did not play any had but using my maximum on timebank. On the other hand the slowplay is defined, if you play big hands very slow, no raising preflop and nobody think about how strong your hand is. If you running against such a hand its sometimes frustrating, especially because of its very seldom.

Don't let what other players do effect how you play at the tables, it's a mental game leak.

If you really feel the need to get back at them tag them and slow roll them next time you have the nuts, but in the end it really doesn't matter.

I play at several tables, it doesn't bother me, but at the end of the day when they do it at one table it can be very frustrating,

This strategy is normal in poker, many professionals and regulars do this, for several factors, I advise that when you notice this, evaluate your hand well and make big bets or go all in, if you think you are ahead of him.

I would avoid feeling anything from slowrolls wherever possible, just learn who does them and do it back if you feel inclined.

It often happens that a player can't make their move for a long time, perhaps because they're playing at multiple tables simultaneously and don't have enough time to make decisions. It could also be due to their playing style or the fact that they need to carefully consider each move. I approach this with a calm mindset.

If it was actually a slow-roll I simply, easily and calmly be a bigger assh*le back. I kinda excel at this :ROFLMAO:. But then I was brought up to treat people how they treat me or show me how they deserve to be treated. Slow-rolling me or being a dick in other ways simply paints a huge bulleyes on that persons back. Which typically ends up with me having all their chips in the end. Either that or they leave table before I get all their chips.

Cheers!!!

You shouldn't be upset about that, some of you may not even know that they are slowing their hands down, and to be honest I say this from experience, I did it several times watching something on my PC while playing and the time consumption alarm tells me that it's my turn.

I try not to dwell on this, because it is morale and affects the game for the best, especially since the player may not do it intentionally

Yeah that can be really annoying, but you still shouldnt take these things personal (and then try to take revenge, like some suggested, thats a bad way to go about poker). It doesnt happen too often either, best way is to remain cool-headed and move on, it shouldn't affect your next play.

There is not a lot you can do but I do 2 things. I never expose my cards early, I wait until it my turn to expose them. This stops the asshole who has a losing hand from tormenting you by making you wait to see if you are good. I also will take the same time they took to slow roll when it comes my turn to expose my cards. I only do this to players who have habitually slow rolled during the game.

Sometimes I also encounter opponents who deliberately play very slowly. They do this to influence my emotional state. But this does not affect me in any way, I do not react to their actions, and I continue to play a disciplined game. My recommendation is to simply ignore their manipulations.

Slow rolling is only when a player waits to call with nuts that will close the action. It's bad etiquette but often online people are just distracted and not doing it intentionally.
