It used to be that if you got offered a free room that you would maybe have to just pay the tax but when they added resort fees, you had to pay them even on comped rooms. The resort fees ruined any bargain that Vegas had to offer and many including myself have stopped going.Nothing is REALLY free in Vegas, is it?
I was curious to go there a while back, so I started looking into airfares and hotels. I was happy to find what looked to be good accommodation deals, until I read the small print and noticed there were added "resort fees" and such things that quickly turned those good deals into rather expensive stays. I wonder how many people get a rude surprise when checking out to see their bill about double what they expected.
