start of tourny fold 80% due to the amount of beginners still in the tourney and amount of people that will be wating to see the flop by the end of tourney u should be calling 80% because aggressivness is very scary to an expert card player

Nice and easy to remember but tough to follow on. I would like to know who told you it or where you read it.

80% at the end of tournament is not good, even scary. People will lose all respect for your bets and you will not get anyone off a hand (only time it works is on the fourth time you do it you get a monster hand and get paid off). I am sorry but only about 25% of you hands are worth playing in any situation (minus heads up) so you are bluffing 50% of the time. An expert card player will pick that pattern out quickly and take you to the cleaners. You may steal some but the expert players will start reraising you and make you earn it after 2 or 3 times doing it. You also have short stacks bombing all-in. You get caught with crap card being aggressive and you just donated money to the pot because you have no reason to call the all-in. The odds of reraises and all-in are to high late in a tournament.

I personally play the opposite. I will see alot more flop early when the blinds are cheap and the odds of someone pushing all in is low. You can get out of a hand quickly since you don't have much invested. I won't see 80%, but I will play hands that don't work later in a tournament.

Late stages of a tournament you alway have to worry about shortstacks taking a stab all in and putting you on a decision. You play 80% of the hands you are going to get pushed out of alot of pots by big reraises and you can't call with most hands that you are dealt. You just donated your raise to the pot and folded. I like to save my money late and use to push positionally and when I get monster hands.
