The importance of playing where the rake is cheapest

If we all are equal - then we all loose the same amount as we pay in rake
If you are better than average, then you still have to win more than the rake to be a winner.

So cheap rake makes your chance to be a winner bigger.

Therefore chose the pokersite with lowest rake - you will feel a difference.

Very good link, It really shows how big a difference there is in the net rake on low stake cash from the cheapest to the most expencive site

Great overview here. And AKShark is correct in stating the importance if rake. Its definitely something to consider when choosing where to play. One of the reasons I first signed up to unibet was the cheap rake though it becomes less attractive as you move up and also another consideration is rakeback, where Unibet for example is pretty rubbish, so I mostly play on pokerstars which always seems competitive on rake and has good rakeback.

Remember to caluclate in your rakeback as well though. It's not just about rake. It's about rake+rakecaps+rakeback.

True, but when it comes to all, it does not change that the percentage you pay in fee on microstake cash is very high, and that the site with cheapest rake can make the difference if you are a winning player or not :)

Rake like evertthing else is going up, I luv 888 but some micros hitting 10%, way too much

Actually 888 hits an amazing 12,5% rake when you play 1/2c cash and the pot is 8c, and they charge 1c in rake, I'm attempted to call it robery, or a Reverse Robin hood.

I agree in parts, websites need to win, so I don't consider marketing aimed at fools. very good the like posted from friend Niveau1

Just play on Betsson microstakes imo. You will get the 30% rakeback in no time even grinding microstakes (assuming you can multi-table), and everyone on that site is terrible lol. Also if it's your first deposit you will get a bonus 20% of rakeback for a total of 50% rakeback for the first few months. That might give you a chance to build a bank roll which will potentially let you move up stakes if your goal is to grind up from nothing.

I agree with you, the rake on all sites is about the same, but for rakeback you can find very profitable offers.

This is a good point, but for this you need to know the rake in all poker rooms

Tournament poker rake should be around 10% on low stakes they usually are a bit above that.
