I get what you're saying and don't get me wrong, I truly believe that the odds are the same
 
 
I just feel looking back, and maybe this is the embarassment factor, I have made some hands with cards I know I shouldnt have made............. after large raises..............
and seeing I have a gut shot str8 draw or flush and call that big bet on the turn anyways........
 
 
and make my hand and bust some one.....

but in live games I just wouldn't "feel" I have a "REAL CHANCE" to hit that flush like I "feel" I do online
 
 
and maybe it is because we see so many hands online
 
 
maybe the embarassment factor too...
 
 
maybe the real reason is all of that stuff combined.
 
 
 
So knowing this in advance....
 
 
when you have 66 in the pocket and the flop

you should be (about) a 70%-75% fav vs. say Ah 8h
 
 
but knowing you are playing online and that player is more likely to put all his chips at risk for the Ace high flush
