Circuit event-
Blinds were 3k/6k(i think)
Smith- 700k
Other Guy- About a million

Other Guy raises a few blinds with 2 4 off
SMith calls with 85

Flop- A J 8
Smith checks, guy bets 40k and smith calls

Turn- Ace
Smith checks, guy bets 60k and smith calls

River- 5(Gavin made 3 pair...lol)
Smith checks, guy bets 150k and smith somehow manages to call. One of the best calls ive ever seen

He knew the guy was trying toi steal the blinds and he knew on the flop he made no pair.................simple really. Was not a great call or anything special. He was heads up with a pair and the other guy had crap and he knew it. TV does not show you teh 20 other times the guy stole the blinds bluffed etc......Smith was just tired of it and after paying close attention to teh guy he knew when he had the goods and when he didn't so when Smith had the chance heads up...........he got him.

That is the big difference between live play and on-line.............

His oppenent was considered by all to be tight and conserative. When you have 85 and the flop comes Aj8 and your bet into and the turn comes an ace, and your bet into and the river comes a blank and your bet into huge with a weak of a hand as 85, calling about half of your chips is hard, especially agaisnt a tight player.

EDIT: smith didnt get him.....he lost the circuit ring
