Long time no see! Life got in way and still is so i cant play poker as much as i like right now. Can't really get into details but it's both personal issues and family...
Well anyway I played poker this evening and this spot opened up.

So this is a Reg i play against this hand we have played 5 k hands against each other the last couple of months.

What do you think about the play, is it unnecessary to even bother to fight for som blinds over this kind of hands? I feel its harder to beat the game players getting better and better.

Try to see beyond the specific hand (64s) and discus play against regs in simular pots. I don't know maybe this play is possible to make if for instance CO opens BTN folds and SB cold call. it's a good squezze play yes?

I think more and more it's more and more important to win this small pots against regs.

Not much to analyse here, 64s is ok to 3bet at low frequency.

No dont squeeze bad hands like this. Go linear for value

In a late position configuration its ok to 3-bet a hand like this from time to time. You can also call, but folding is to tight.

Flop
You have some backdoor straight possibilities with 3-5 or 5-7, but that is really not much, so I think, this is pretty much a total miss. However you can credibly represent top pair on this board, so its probably fine to take a small "one-and-done" stab even with hands like this one, that need to give up on most turns. For 30% pot it does not need to work very often at all to be profitable, and this time it did.

Against regs who frequently open from SB, it's fine to threebet from BB loosely, especially if you have a tight/nitty image. You have position and villain is opening wide. As long as you don't overdo it to the point that villain catches on and adjusts.

Doing it with low suited connectors is great cuz you can credibly rep pairs when high cards hit and when low cards land and you connect with the board big time, he might not give you credit. And if he pushes back against your cbets or 4 bets you big preflop, just fold.

If you V over fold frequently enough which they may have done here than attacking them is perfectly fine. The data we want to collect is how often are they folding flops to a single small bet. How little are they battling you with weaker players on the table? GTO has the V calling 69% of the 3 bet flat range of 13% - the wider they flat pre and the more they fold flop dictates how we expand the 3 bet range.
