It is only 20 hands of data on CO but they have not 3 bet yet for whatever that is worth. I am not sure any 8x hand would raise here with the possibility of that folding everyone else out with the board having no flush draws and straight draws that are there but not common draws (97 and 75). This bet to me is either a bluff with a hand like 55, 44, 77 etc or it is 99 that the villain did not 3 bet pre. I think some 109s could be in there and yes every once a while someone will play 8x like this but I dont think that is the case. I would go off my gut here and call this bet letting villain continue to bluff with whatever they have. I dont like if a 5, 7, 9 or 10, K or ace comes on the turn which is a lot of cards but I feel like re raising here only gets 99 (which we want) and any 8x or a rare 66 to call us. That to me is a little too small of a calling range that we would want to call us so I would I think I like calling and seeing what comes on the turn. Villain plays 27.8% of hands (I know only out of 20) so at least so far they are not hugely loose but definitely on the loose side. In the end I just wouldnt think 8x would do this that often risking folds and would have a gut feeling it is 6x, 22-55, 77 or possibly 99.
