Preflop 3-bet is a bit small, but at least 14c is better than 10c, which you used in another hand. Flop The opponent choose to lead out (donk bet), which is pretty unconventional in a 3-bet pot. So right off the bat I am thinking, this is not the best player in the world (and its also 2NL of course). I really like this flop, because he should not have any of the two pair combos after opening UTG and then calling a 3-bet. I dont even think, he has sets very often, because KK should mostly 4-bet preflop, and 33 and 66 should at least consider folding to the 3-bet. What he can have though is a flushdraw, although you block it, and top pair. So I am totally on board with raising this donk bet with the intention to play for stacks. Its slightly nitpicky, but I think, you should go a bit larger than essentially a min-raise. You dont need to give someone like this 4:1 to get him to make a bad call. Turn The opponent leads again, which is pretty strong, after you raised him on the flop. But there is still not much, you lose to here. Maybe he can have 54s, which just turned a straight, but thats kind of unlikely due to preflop. So I would definitely go with my plan and stack off, as you did. Here I think, your sizing is more of a mistake though. This needs to be a jam, because its a disaster, if he just call with a draw. In that situation you are allowing him to totally freeroll you, because when he get there, he will jam, and you will pay him off, because you cant fold an overpair getting around 7:1. Whereas if he miss, then he is not going to call with a busted draw regardless of pot odds. Luckily he jammed for you, but you need to do this work yourself and not leave it up to him. Result I only looked now, and I was expecting to see a hand like AK or KQ. K9 is pretty amazing and clear proof, that 2NL is still very soft in 2023.
