Hi there mate, glad that you are playing cash and don’t worry about being a newbie, we are all learning around here! Your hand is very good, in spots like this we are calling almost always, so preflop is okay. On the flop we cannot fold, for we have some equity for a straight. But we must call having in mind that UTG has better hands than us, such as AT+, 88+, etc The turn is very good to us, for we aren’t expecting villain to have many low-medium straights and having strong pairs that would certainly call our raise. We are betting on the turn for value, for in this situation we expect to have the winning hand most of times and we want villain’s AT, JJ, QQ, KK, AA and the combo draws of clubs to continue paying our raise. On the river villain checks and we don’t see many winnings hands ahead, thus we are certainly betting this river, I’m not sure if jamming is the best move: when we jam we are screaming that either we own a very strong hand or nothing and we allow villain to fold all of its losing hands and call us only with hands that have us beat. We could bet 1/2 pot, 2/3 pot, 3/4 pot expecting to get calls of JJ+ for example. When we jam we allow these same hands to fold. But as played, many players would’ve called having JJ+, so this is essentially a cooler. We must keep our mind clear and move on for these situation will happen once in a while. We shouldn’t let it affect our gameplay and if we feel it has affected the way we play, we shut the table and go relax. Thanks for submitting your hand to analysis, keep on grinding and let the chips fall as they may. Best regards;
